Rabbitohs Coach Michael Maguire is preparing for a fast and furious encounter in Perth this Sunday, against a red-hot New Zealand Warriors outfit intent on a top-eight spot.

The Warriors come in to the round 17 match having won five games in a row, prompting Maguire to expect the Kiwi side to be running high on confidence.

Theyre playing well so its a great challenge, said Maguire.

Theyre completing their sets and building their game around that pressure. Thats something were continually striving to get better at.

Itll be a fast game with two big packs and plenty of speed on the edges.

But the current good form of both sides wont be the only deciding factor when it comes to the intensity of Sundays game, with Maguire citing the NIB Stadium surface as a potential contributor.

Its a fast track to play on, so that will come in to it.

But the team thats travelling over there is also playing very well at the moment, so well look to continue what weve been doing here and building on it. Theres still a lot of things we want to work on.

The Rabbitohs mentor also singled out the contribution that Members and supporters have made to the team so far in 2013, with the players looking forward to re-uniting with their Western Australian supporters.

The fans, the Members along with the Burrow theyre all creating a lot of excitement which is great for us as a team, so were looking forward to more of that from our fans in Perth.

The excitement that gets built by our Members and fans at the games has been very well noted by the players, myself and the staff.

The more noise theyre (the fans) are creating, the more enjoyment the players get and it begins to show on the park.

The Rabbitohs will play the New Zealand Warriors on Sunday 7th July at NIB Stadium in Perth. Kick off is at 4:30pm WST (6:30pm EST) with tickets available from Ticketmaster by clicking here
