The Family of Fans Night is on again this year, helping to raise funds for Souths Cares and a sick young Rabbitohs supporter.

Funds raised from this night will once again be donated to Souths Cares. Last year 25 Bunny Buddy Memberships were provided to underpriviledged children from the funds raised on the night, and this year the aim is to double that contribution.

The event will also donate money to an 11-year-old Rabbitoh who hails from the South Coast by the name of Connor.

Connor has been diagnosed with a glioma brain tumour in the right cingulated gyrus.

This tumour causes him headaches, dizziness, muscle weakness, memory disturbance, numbness and nausea.

Connor requires lifesaving surgery by Dr Charlie Teo to remove the tumour.

At a cost of $70,000, with no health insurance, the family faced the daunting task of trying to raise the funds for the surgery.

Many generous people have already helped to raise the target of $70,000 and Connor's surgery is booked in for next Monday 27 May.

The Family of Fans event would like to continue to raise funds for Connor's post operative medical expenses which continues to place pressure on the family during this stressful time.

Courtesy of Sydney's Live Entertainment, Karaoke with Joe 'The Falcon' Fenech will be a feature of the night, and Houndog Galea will be the compere.

The Family of Fans Night will be held on Saturday 13 July, the team's Bye weekend.

Tickets cost $70 per person and can be purchased through Jo Conti-Piriz by phoning 0404 463 777 or emailing
