North Sydney Oval, Sunday, June 30
The North Sydney Bears will take on the Illawarra Cutters in round 16 of the NSW Cup as the Bears fight to retain third spot on the ladder.
Norths find themselves in the unusual situation of having had their last game postponed thanks to inclement weather, but the rest could prove helpful to the side, who have again named a team missing a number of players thanks to first grade call ups.
The Bears have managed to score 378 points so far in the competition, but the tenth placed Cutters are no strangers to scoring points either, having managed just 20 points less than Norths. The Cutters defence however will have to be better this week against the Bears, having conceded 428 points compared to the black and reds superior 234.
The Bears have a number of players playing for the Rabbitohs top squad including, Luke Keary, Thomas Burgess, Dylan Farrell and Justin Hunt all of whom have stood up in recent weeks for the Rabbitohs. Look to Luke Burgess and Shaune Corrigan to step up with their first grade experience to give the Bears a chance
