As well as being close friends of several Rabbitohs players, Maxi & Jesse are two nationally recognised Lifeguards at one of the worlds most famous and beautiful beaches, Bondi.

Thrust into the spotlight through the critically acclaimed series Bondi Rescue, these two young men enjoy surf, sun, sand and millions of fans around the globe. But theres a dark side to their glamorous jobs. Maxi and Jesse have seen too many people lose their lives at the Gap, a notorious cliff face 5km from Bondi.

All too often victims are swept into the waters below and the Bondi Lifeguards are called in to assist Police. A body retrieval is a harrowing experience for lifeguards. Its not part of their standard job description and often its a graphic, hands on experience.

The boys want to help those who are at risk, or who have been affected by suicide, in a fundraiser to take to the ocean for a gruelling 2,500 km ride on jet-ski's.

The players are supporting Maxi and Jesse as they undertake this adventure to raise the profile of mental health charity Headspace. Throughout their trip Maxi and Jesse will visit various headspace centres along the coast to meet people affected by suicide.

Donations will go directly into funding the making of the film and will pay for things like cameras and equipment, payment and travel expenses for the crew and post production. Your donation will mean that Maxi, Jesse and Liam can tell their story without having to rely on financial backing from a network.

Mental Health is a difficult subject and one that media often shies away from, but with your support this story will be told.

Maxi and Jesse are passionate about this project, and along with Director Liam Taylor they want to see The Ride go from a dream to a reality.

To do this they need your help.
