Both the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Gold Coast Titans have named full-strength sides for this Sundays Rumble on the Reef fixture at Barlow Park in Cairns, setting the match up as a true Rugby League spectacle.

Cairns will be treated to a whos who of representative football after both teams named extended benches yesterday, with just over half of the 38 players named having achieved representative honours ranging from City-Country, right through to State of Origin, international and All Stars caps.

All three of the Rabbitohs Queensland stars will line up for the Bunnies after putting in solid showings for the Maroons in game one of this years State of Origin series opener, while their Titans counterparts, Nate Myles, Greg Bird and Ashley Harrison will also take their place at Barlow Park.

The game will also see current and former New Zealand representatives in Issac Luke, Roy Asotasi, Jeff Lima and Bryson Goodwin take the field, while Sam Burgess will fly the flag for England.

Both teams will be in prime condition for the match, having enjoyed the bye in round 13, with Rabbitohs fullback Greg Inglis telling the media yesterday (Tuesday) that he is looking forward to what will be a great advertisement for the game.

I feel good. I feel fresh obviously that bye helped on the weekend with the extra recovery, said Inglis.

With the Bunnies having won the last two encounters between the two sides, the Titans will be looking to turn the tables in what will be a South Sydney home game.

Rabbitohs halfback, Adam Reynolds is also keen to get up to Cairns to take on the in-form halves combination of Albert Kelly and Aidan Sezer, while also singling out the back row combination of former Rabbitohs players Dave Taylor, Mark Minichiello and Ashley Harrison as one of the Titans strongest weapons.

I think theyre a good side, said Reynolds.

Theyve got two young halves that are on fire at the moment, and a good back row. I think were going to have to be on our game to be any chance of winning.

The Rabbitohs will arrive in Cairns on Saturday in preparation for Sundays match. Kick-off is at 2pm with the Northern Pride vs Ipswich Jets Intrust Super Cup clash scheduled to kick off at 11:45am. Tickets are available at or by calling (07) 4053 8333.

Rumble on the Reef NRL Cairns Fixture is supported by Tourism and Events Queensland as part of a growing calendar of sporting, cultural and business events throughout the state.
