Proudly presented by Triple C Consulting Stockbrokers, two of the NRLs most exciting teams will do battle at Western Australias premier rectangular sports stadium.
South Sydney is having a stellar season so far, sitting on top of the NRL ladder. The New Zealand Warriors are playing some exciting football, with this game promising to be one of the highlight matches of the season.
Boasting many international, State of Origin and All Stars representatives including Greg Inglis, Sam Burgess, Issac Luke, Ben Teo, Chris McQueen, Nathan Merritt and Adam Reynolds, the Rabbitohs will be up against their Trans-Tasman rivals featuring a strong line up including Manu Vatuvei, Feleti Mateo, Kiwis captain Simon Mannering, Konrad Hurrell and Shaun Johnson.
This is the first time that the NRL will be played at the newly-configured and redeveloped nib Stadium, giving sports fans an even better viewing experience than in previous seasons.
With the school holidays starting on the weekend of this match, dont miss your only chance in Western Australia this year to share in the excitement and adrenalin of live NRL footy as the best come to the west!
We enjoy fantastic support in Perth and the whole of Western Australia, so were really looking forward to bringing the team back to nib Stadium, Rabbitohs CEO Shane Richardson said.
This is the only game in Perth this year, and its the fifth year in a row that the Rabbitohs have brought some of the big guns to town, including the Melbourne Storm who have been the most successful side of the past decade, the Brisbane Broncos including the legendary Darren Lockyer, and now the New Zealand Warriors.
Were sure that many of the ex-pat Kiwis living in Perth and surrounding areas will be there for this game, and we hope that all of the West Australian-based Rabbitohs Members and supporters can come along and support the team as well.
We will have an open training session the night before the game so everyone can come and get autographs from the players and show everyone how much support there is for Rugby League in Perth.
I know that John Sackson and his team from the WARL have been working very hard on their bid to enter the NRL, and the best to show your support for the code and the state of WA is to come to this game.
John Sackson, WARL CEO, said: This game has all the makings of a fantastic showcase for fast, physical and skilful Rugby League, played by two of the most popular brands in elite sport.
The Rabbitohs are the talk of the League this season based on their success to date and the New Zealand Warriors are one of the most exciting teams to watch when they are on song.
Given the massive ex-pat Kiwi population in WA, this could resemble a home game for the Warriors similar to their Perth game last year against the Sea Eagles.
By attending this clash, all West Australians have another opportunity to demonstrate their passion and support for Rugby League and a sell-out crowd can strongly enhance the prospect of a West Coast Pirates NRL franchise in the near future.
nib Stadium CEO, Peter Bauchop, said: We are always incredibly excited to welcome the Rabbitohs back to their WA home, and now even more proud to host the upcoming block buster game in the new facilities at nib Stadium.
We now have more premium seats, excellent views and first class stadium fixtures including two massive new screens which create a unique and memorable experience.
Add the Rabbitohs and the Warriors into the mix, and this will definitely be an awesome night of live NRL.
