Rabbitohs forward Sam Burgess will miss one match after being unsuccessful in his attempt to be found not guilty for a grade one dangerous contact charge at the NRL judiciary tonight.

Burgess attracts 190 points for the tackle on the Sharks' Andrew Fifita, meaning he will be suspended for one match and will have 90 carry over points.

Burgess will be available to play against the Gold Coast Titans at Barlow Park in Cairns in round 14.
