Rabbitohs centre Matt King will miss the next 16 weeks of football after breaking his arm during Saturdays game for the North Sydney Bears in the NSW Cup competition.

King broke his arm in last years finals series against the Melbourne Storm and was returning to the field in Saturdays NSW Cup fixture.

King will now rehabilitate the injury and hopes to be back playing towards the end of the 2013 season.

Its a tough situation for Kingy as he has worked extremely hard to put himself into a position to make his return last weekend, Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire said.

Kingy is the ultimate professional and we know that he will do everything he can, in conjunction our medical team, to return from this injury before the end of the season.

He is still a massive part of what were doing here, hes a leader in the development of the group, and the players have a huge amount of respect for what he does for this team.
