The North Sydney Bears will be looking to consolidate their position at the top of the NSW Cup ladder with a victory over second placed Cronulla, when they take on the Sharks and Sharks Stadium on Saturday 16 March at 3pm.

The Bears accounted for the Bulldogs last weekend, 38 points to 16, and the Sharks toppled the Tigers 36-16.

Bears Coach Wayne Lambkin says his team will be ready for whichever Sharks line up, which is made up of contracted Sharks and Melbourne Storm players, runs out.

"It was a solid win last week. The 'Dogs finished a couple of points in front of us last year for the minor premiership, but we were solid in the middle and the outside backs got to do what they do off the back of that," Coach Lambkin said.

"Luke Keary was our best performer, and Api Koroisau played 80 minutes in his first hit out for us this year.

"(Jason) Clark and (Josh) Starling were strong in the middle too, so it was a good all round performance.

"This week, our intensity should be up and ready to go.

"The Sharks had a few injuries last week so we're not too sure exactly which team will run out, but we'll prepare to play their best team and hopefully we can produce another good performance."
