Local fun run set to be biggest yet

Registrations are already at record numbers as the 2013 Step into Life Autumn Charity Fun Run is expected to be the biggest one yet.

The fact that so many south Sydney locals want to be part of this Charity Fun Run shows the increasing focus of health and fitness in peoples lives, and the desire to be part of local community events, said Garth Montgomery, owner of Step into Life Surry Hills.

This Run is all about raising awareness of a healthy lifestyle and giving back to the community with all proceeds going to the indigenous youth programs Souths Cares, Mr Montgomery said.

Shannon Donato General Manager of Souths Cares said he hopes the fun run raises awareness of the important youth charity programs that support indigenous youth.

Step into Life Surry Hills is doing a great job encouraging people to be active and support our kids programs, Mr Donato said.

The funds raised from the Step into Life fun run will go towards strengthening the support we can offer our youth programs, and that could offer opportunities to many local indigenous kids.
