The stage is set for the 30th annual Charity Shield feature pre-season match between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the St George Illawarra Dragons, and the Rabbitohs will be aiming to regain the Charity Shield at their first appearance at home in 2013.


This will be the final hit out for the Rabbitohs before they battle it out in what will be the opening of the 2013 NRL Season in a special Thursday Night Football launch on 7 March 8:05pm at Allianz Stadium.


The Charity Shield is included in all 2013 Rabbitohs Ticketed Memberships.

Important Information Regarding Arena Configuration


ANZ Stadium will host the main stage for the Soundwave 2013 music festival on Sunday 24 February.


Consequently, the Soundwave stage will be situated at the southern end of the ANZ Stadium arena when the annual Charity Shield is played on Friday 22 February.


To safely facilitate the Charity Shield in the shadow of the stage, the rugby league arena and ticketing model has been altered for this match as follows:


No tickets are available for sale in the southern seating bowl.

The field will be moved approximately 10m north of the standard position. (i.e. the half way line will be situated at approx. aisle 129).

All corporate and members allocations will remain in their standard position. (i.e. if your Rabbitohs members season ticket is located in aisle 131, you will use that seat for this match).


Membership Card Information


Red & Green Ticketed Members who renew or joined by midnight tonight (Tuesday 19 Feb) and have not received your card will receive a single ticket equivalent to their Membership via post before Friday. All Red & Green Ticketed Memberships purchased after this date will be required to collect a ticket from Box Office H on game day.


Those Reserved Members who are expecting a replacement card with the correct aisle number printed should receive their cards by Thursday 21 February. Should you not receive this before Friday please visit Box Office H at ANZ Stadium and speak with a Membership representative. Please note that existing member cards will not scan at turnstiles.


Important Seating Information for Reserved Members


The Charity Shield match is a joint venture between the Rabbitohs and Dragons. As part of the arrangement for the match, Members of each Club are afforded equal seating rights at ANZ Stadium.


Please note that Ticketed Members must scan their 2013 Membership Cards at the ANZ turnstiles to gain entry to the Charity Shield.


Western Grandstand Members (Aisles 127-133)

Members with a seat allocated for the 2013 season on the Western side of ANZ Stadium will have access to their regular 2013 seat for the Charity Shield.


Eastern Grandstand Members (Aisles 106-108)

Members with a seat allocated for the 2013 season on the Eastern side of ANZ Stadium have been allocated unreserved seating on Level 4 East in aisles 408 - 409 for the Charity Shield. Access to Level 4 East will be provided by scanning your Membership card at Gate C or D.


Please note that Ticketed Members must scan their 2013 Membership Cards at the ANZ turnstiles to gain entry to the Charity Shield.


Getting There


Please be advised that two special trains will depart as tabled below from platforms 4 - 8 from the Country platforms at Central and operate directly to Olympic Park.

Customers who don't board these two trains have the option of travelling to Lidcombe (trains operate every 5 mins from Redfern to Lidcombe) and changing there for the Olympic Park Sprint. The Lidcombe to Olympic Park Sprint will operate every 10 mins from 4pm through to midnight.


Getting Home


Two special trains will depart Olympic Park to Central after full time to get fans back home. These trains have not been tabled and will be utilised on an as required basis.


For customers who do not board these special return trains, trains from Olympic Park to Lidcombe operate every 10 minutes until midnight.

Sydney Buses will operate to a regular weekday timetable. Route 525 operates between Parramatta and Burwood via Sydney Olympic Park.

Parking


Casual parking is available in the precinct.


Patrons who plan to drive should allow plenty of time to get to Sydney Olympic Park, find a parking space and get to their seat for the match.

Rabbitohs Member Bar & Post Match Function


The Rabbitohs Members Bar will be open for the Charity Shield for Members wishing to enjoy a drink after the NRL Match. This will be in the usual location of 'The Cauldron' (North West Terrace of ANZ Stadium adjacent to Aisle 126 on the Level 1 concourse).


Please note that there will no official Post Match Function in The Cauldron.


Members will need to show their 2013 Membership Card to gain entry.


Please note the Rabbitohs Kidzone will not be available for the Charity Shield. Kidzone will open for our official Round 2 kick off against the Sharks on Monday 18 March 2013.
