The South Sydney Rabbitohs will bring a home game to Cairns for the fifth consecutive season when they take on the North Queensland Cowboys at Barlow Park on July 16, and whilst footy fans are coming for the game, many are staying for a whole lot more.

In what was an electric atmosphere at last year’s NRL event in Cairns; which attracted a capacity crowd of almost 15,000 supporters; Rabbitohs fans, Cowboys fans and sports fans from around the Cairns region, Far North Queensland and interstate who are set to descend once again upon Barlow Park to see the NRL at it's best.

The Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) will celebrate the official opening of it’s eighth annual event on Thursday 13th July 2017 with a music, dance and art spectacular beneath the stars and within the heritage-listed surrounds of Shed 3 at the Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal. Held from 14-16 July, the social gathering signals the start of a multi-dimensional program exhibiting the rich culture and vast artistic talent, spanning visual and performing arts, of Queensland’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
