With the Rugby League World Cup now passed the group stages and into the finals the competition is about to heat up!

Our Rabbitohs had six players representing the mighty Red and Green at this year’s tournament and all six still remain.

Dane Gagai

Games: 2
Tries: 1
Metres: 367 (37 runs)
Tackles: 16
Linebreak: 1

New recruit Dane Gagai received his first international call up without having the chance to play a League game with South Sydney but he’s given many Rabbitohs Members the chance to smile after his exploits at the Rugby League World Cup so far.

Having played two out of Australia’s three games, Gagai looks to be a mainstay in the Kangaroos squad, scoring one try and running for over 300 metres in his two games for Australia, as well as making 16 tackles.

Zane Musgrove

Games: 1
Metres: 38 (4 runs)
Tackles: 26

Zane hasn’t had much chance to prove himself for Samoa with only one game under his belt, however, the powerful prop forward may still see some action, as the winless Samoans have to do the unthinkable and beat Australia to progress to the next stage of the World Cup.

Thomas Burgess

Games: 3
Tries: 1
Metres: 357 (32 runs)
Tackles: 70

Tom Burgess's stocks just keep going up and up. Playing all three games for England so far, the rampaging prop has notched up over 300 metres, made 70 tackles and scored one delicious try that would have made you think he was a fullback.

Sam Burgess

Games: 1
Metres: 91 (10 runs)
Tackles: 10

Whilst Sam has only notched up a few minutes for England so far due to injury, the Rugby League community knows that when fit and available, any team with the barnstorming forward in their line up is a force to be reckoned with.

Robbie Farah

Games: 3
Metres: 118 (25 runs)
Tackles: 43
Try Assists: 1

Captain of Lebanon and South Sydney dummy half Robbie Farah has had a peculiar World Cup, shifting from his usual position at hooker to half back. Lebanon have only managed to claim one win, a victory over lowly France but it was an important one in which Farah played a crucial part.

Adam Doueihi

Games: 3
Tries: 1
Metres: 182 (25 runs)
Tackles: 22

He was an unknown rookie whose chance came in strange circumstances, yet since then Adam Doueihi has played all of Lebanon's group matches. Traditionally a five-eighth, Doueihi has played in both the back row and the centres for Lebanon where he has run for over 150 metres as well as scoring a peach of a try in Lebanon’s win over France
