Top 5 2017: Try Scorers

Alex Johnston was hot favourite to bag top try scorer in the NRL this season before a hamstring injury forced him out of the last two rounds, but he wasn't the only Rabbitoh to contribute to our try tally in 2017.

Johnston tops the Rabbitohs try scoring list for the fourth year in a row, in the process equalling a Club record five tries in one match against the Panthers in Round 17.

Fellow outside back Bryson Goodwin joined Johnston near the top of the list for his last year as a Rabbitohs while fellow outside back Robert Jennings impressively made the cut after only featuring 13 times this season - 8 less games than the next least played in the list.

Angus Crichton made an impact in his second year in the Red and Green by claiming third place off the back of a brilliant hat-trick performance against the Titans in Round 15. Whilst fellow forward Sam Burgess and utility John Sutton managed to each cross five times in the 2017 season.

Dynamic half Cody Walker was a creative force for the Rabbitohs, crossing for six tries to complement his huge tally of 18 try assists (the second most across the league).
