The South Sydney Rabbitohs have confirmed that hooker Apisai Koroisau has signed a two year contract with the Penrith Panthers, starting in 2015.
Koroisau says his job at the Rabbitohs is not done yet.
“I’m happy to have things sorted out with my contract, but that is for me to think about in 2015,” Koroisau said.
“I still have a job to do here at Souths for the rest of the season and I’ll be doing everything I can to make sure I play a part in it being a successful season.
“I’ve learnt so much from the coaching staff and team mates like Issac Luke over the past few seasons and I want to make sure I put all of that into practice for the rest of this season.
“I love playing in front of the great Rabbitohs Members and I’m looking forward to doing my best for them for the rest of this year.”
Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire says he is happy for his young rake.
“It will be a shame to see such a talented young player move on at the end of the year, someone who we’ve seen grow into an NRL-standard player over recent years,” Coach Maguire said.
“He has a great opportunity at Penrith which he wants to pursue and we wish him the best of luck with that next season.
“We have a lot of work to do this year to achieve the goals we’ve set for ourselves as a group and Api is a big part of those plans.
“As a team we’ll enjoy playing and working alongside him for the rest of this season and hopefully send him out on a high note.”
