Judiciary Update – George Burgess

Rabbitohs prop George Burgess is free to play this week after successfully appealing for a down-grade of his grade two careless high tackle charge.

The charge is now deemed to be a grade one careless high tackle – a result that the Englishman was pleased with.

“I received a fair hearing at the judiciary tonight,” said Burgess.

“I’m pleased with the outcome and I’m looking forward to playing the Raiders this Sunday."

Burgess’ down-grade has a base of 75 points, and with 20% loading, it brought the charge to 90 points. Burgess however gets 25% off for entering an early guilty plea, meaning he finishes with 67 points.
