What Is It Like To Be a Member?

Being a Member of the mighty South Sydney Rabbitohs is quite a unique experience; many describe us as part of one big red and green family. From management, coaching staff, to players, Members and fans we are at one. Being a Member of a foundation club like the Rabbitohs we all share a special closeness that’s firmly bonded by our love and passion for the club.

What is it I love about this great club? I love the pride and passion shown week in week out by the thousands of like-minded Rabbitohs faithful who for many years have stood as one on game day and belted out the words to Glory Glory; win, lose or draw, in rain hail or shine. The unwavering support is a unique experience shared by no other club that leaves me with goose bumps every time. This season we saw the reinvention of the never give up, never say die attitude in our players with the physical and mental toughness at level I have never witnessed before. This can be credited to none other than Michael Maguire and his coaching staff, true professionals in every sense of the word who also have a great understanding of what it’s like to be a Rabbitoh. When it comes to these blokes and players I love the fact that they’re never too busy and always up for a bunnies chat with us Members, whether it’s after a training session or a game. We’re truly the people’s team.

The pride and passion this season shared by all involved at the Rabbitohs was electrifying, there were so many moments that typified exactly was it was like to be a Member of the mighty bunnies. Take round 19 against our arch rivals the Roosters. Many would have written us off with 2 minutes remaining but not us Members and supporters, we knew better. When Adam Reynolds scored the final try, words do not do justice to the scenes that followed. The embrace between players and supporters was magical, led by none other than our number 6, John Sutton. This is what I love about being a Member of the South Sydney Rabbitohs. Ask yourself when the last time you witnessed this from any other NRL club was. It’s a bond other clubs and supporters are left in awe of.

This season didn’t finish according to our red and green fairytale however our club showed why they‘re labeled the “Pride of the League”. There is no greater way to support the mighty South Sydney Rabbitohs other than to jump on board and become a 2013 season Member. Being part of the Rabbitohs family is not only special but contagious as well – just ask Greg Inglis. This season we were treated to some special moments and next season will be no different so I encourage you to jump on board and help us ‘”Stand above the Rest” so you can say you were there and a part of a new golden era at the mighty South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Burrow Membership
The Burrow has seen huge growth in 2012 and we’d love to see this continue. Run by an external volunteer group of avid Rabbitohs Members, this is the place to go to STAND AND SING. By joining in this Membership not only do you get access to the Burrow but also receive an exclusive Burrow Members only scarf.

WA Membership Now Includes 2 Reserved Seats in Sydney
Previously classified as Non-Ticketed, Western Australian Members can now enjoy two games at ANZ Stadium should you ever be in Sydney. This also means you are classified as a Ticketed Member allowing you access to the first pre sale of all major Rugby League matches.

QLD Membership
To make sure all our QLD supporters can enjoy the home game being taken to Cairns a new QLD Membership is available. This gives Queenslanders access to any two games played by the Rabbitohs in QLD (home or away) as well as entry into one Rabbitohs ANZ Stadium home game should you ever be visiting Sydney. Again, these Members are classified as Ticketed and have access to the first pre sale of all major Rugby League Matches.

Can’t Get to All Games? Introducing Three Game Membership
A late addition at the end of 2012 was the Three Game Membership, we’re pleased to announce this will be back and is available to purchase now. Members can select the three games they would like to attend once the 2013 NRL draw is released. Reserved seating will then be allocated.
