Top Moments of 2012 - #2

Coming in at number 2 is the incredible try saving chase by Adam Reynolds against the Eels in round 15.

It was a defining moment in the season of the Rabbitohs rookie halfback and a moment that summed up the 'never say die' attitude of the Rabbitohs in 2012.

It was billed as a battle of the halves with Chris Sandow taking on his former club, and rookie Adam Reynolds proved that he was capable of filling the void.

Reynolds had the ball on a string in a beautiful display of tactical kicking but after a great start, the Rabbitohs could not put the bottom-of-the-table Eels away.

South Sydney led 18-nil after 57 minutes but Eels backrower Reni Maitua hit back to narrow the deficit.

With just 12 minutes left on the clock Chris Sandow looked like he would put the Eels within a converted try when he intercepted a Greg Inglis pass out wide and raced away.

He looked certain to score but for the gutsy effort from Reynolds.
Back in the centre of the field he turned and chased Sandow for more than 90 metres, eventually crashing him over the sideline with just metres to spare.

The moment was made all the better when Reynolds jumped up, thumped the Rabbit on his chest and was swarmed by teammates as the ANZ Stadium crowd roared.
