2013 NRL DRAW RELEASED!

The NRL has released the draw for the 2013 season today, with the Rabbitohs locked in to take on arch rivals, the Sydney Roosters, in the season opener, a Thursday Night Football game, away from home at Allianz Stadium, bookending the season against the Roosters with a blockbuster final round clash with their Foundation Club rivals in round 26 at home at ANZ Stadium.

The Rabbitohs will play ANZ Stadium blockbusters against the reigning premiers the Melbourne Storm in round six, the Wests Tigers in round ten, the St George Illawarra Dragons in round 19, last season's Grand Finalists the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in round 24, and the Roosters in round 26.

The Rabbitohs will take on the Titans at Barlow Park in Cairns in round 14, the Warriors at nib Stadium in Perth in round 17, and the Sea Eagles at Bluetongue Stadium in Gosford in round 23.

The Rabbitohs have byes in round 13 following State of Origin I, and round 18 preceding State of Origin III, with the break for the representative football weekend falling between rounds six and seven.

The Rabbitohs have a run of four Friday night feature matches in a row between rounds seven and ten.

The Rabbitohs have also not been drawn at home against the Parramatta Eels, which means the draw prevents the Club from offering another reciprocal rights opportunity for Members of both Clubs, despite the Rabbitohs, Eels and ANZ Stadium agreeing to a reciprocal rights agreement in the lead up to the draw release today.

The Rabbitohs will endeavour to work with opposition Clubs to provide reciprocal rights and ticketing offers for Members to home and away games, will work hard to build blockbuster matches and great events at our home games throughout 2013, and will endeavour to provide all the support to the football team to put their best foot forward each weekend on the field to give themselves the best chance of a win and the two competition points.

With the game times and dates locked in for the first 20 rounds, now is the time for all Rabbitohs supporters to ‘stand above the rest’ to show support for the team and become a Member.

The Rabbitohs are aiming to surpass the 25,000 Member mark in season 2013 and you can help us reach, and beat, that target.
