Stapleton has played over 100 NRL games and over 50 English Super League matches since debuting for the St George Dragons in 1998. He was selected in the 2006 Prime Minister’s XIII to play Papua New Guinea and the Australian Kangaroos train on squad after a stellar season for the Panthers. He won Salford City’s player of the year award in seasons 2008 and 2009.
