Rabbitohs Announce Round One Team

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their NRL and Toyota Cup sides to take on the Sydney Roosters in the opening games of the NRL’s Centenary Season this Friday 14 March at ANZ Stadium.
Head Coach Jason Taylor has named a new-look halves combination for the clash with New Zealand representative Jeremy Smith selected at five-eighth and Craig Wing wearing the number seven jersey.
Recently re-signed winger Nathan Merritt returns to the side for this opening match with fellow South Sydney junior Fetuli Talanoa playing fullback in the first round.
Ben Rogers was not considered for selection due to a hip muscle injury.
The referee for the first grade fixture is Mr Tony Archer.

First grade kicks off at 7.30pm with the Toyota Cup starting at 5.20pm.
