Season 2008, our Centenary season, was a landmark year for the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Not only did we celebrate with pride the past 100 years and the success of our Club throughout
that period, but we also unearthed the foundations of its success for the next period of its lifespan.
We have discovered some fantastic young talent including Dally M Rookie of the Year Chris Sandow,
Luke Capewell and Jamie Simpson; we have increased our Membership and corporate support
to levels unprecedented in our code; we have joined the Council of the City of Sydney in
redeveloping our spiritual home of Redfern Oval thereby giving us a first-class training home base
for the next two decades; we have continued to work within the South Sydney community and in
outreach areas via our Souths Cares community initiative; and we have attracted the NRL’s best
winger in Colin Best and representative fullback Rhys Wesser to the Club to boost our squad for 2009.
None of this could have been achieved without the support of our corporate partners. The
Rabbitohs boast the most valuable corporate partnership portfolio in Rugby League, not only
in terms of revenue for the Club, but in the benefits that our 250 current and future corporate
