WELCOME
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the South Sydney Rabbitohs, I would like to invite you to share in the future success of the Rabbitohs by reviewing our corporate packages and joining our corporate family as we enter our 103rd year.
The Rabbitohs brand is arguably the most recognisable in Australian sport. The Club’s rich traditions are founded upon over a century of robust endeavour and proud achievement, principles that underpin the best businesses. In recognition of this, the Rabbitohs were recently accorded the privileged status of ‘Community Icon’ by the National Trust of Australia, the first organisation across Australia to be honoured in this historic manner.
As a Member, I am brimful of anticipation for the start of the 2010 season. We are confident that our talented team is now ready to demonstrate its true potential and that our current crop of South Sydney athletes, strengthened by the emerging stars of our under 20s squad including Jason Clark, Malcolm Webster and Junior Vaivai, and enriched in talent by exciting young forwards David Taylor and Sam Burgess, will produce the most formidable Rabbitohs first grade squad in recent history.
Like many of our Corporate Partners, I am also looking forward to entertaining my guests at our home games and events at what promises to be a terrific year of activities. The experience of entertaining business colleagues at Rabbitohs matches has proven to be a thoroughly rewarding and productive way to build one’s business and has enabled many within our corporate ranks to develop long-lasting business relationships with their guests.
As Chairman of this great Football Club, I am proud to lead a dedicated and innovative Board of Directors and to be a voice for our Members as we enter a new season full of promise. Our Club now boasts not only the largest Membership base in the NRL, but also one of the largest and most valuable Corporate Partnership networks in the game. Without the unwavering support of our major sponsors NAB, De’Longhi, Virgin Blue and, more recently, V8 Supercars, the Rabbitohs would not be on the cusp of an exciting new era of on-field success. And without the hundreds of our corporate partners that follow their example, we would scarcely survive.
